Art lovers are invited to a one-off charity event where they will be able to find unique pieces and raise money for Syrian women refugees living in Leeds.
A number of artists from far and wide have donated paintings and ceramics to be sold at an exhibition on 11 December at a garden studio in Teddington.
All proceeds will go to RETAS (Refugee Education Training Advice Service ) Leeds, a charity supporting refugees. As it is a smaller charity, funds raised will have a direct impact on the people needing help. Artist and exhibition organiser Charlotte Andrew was moved to support Syrian refugees after visiting Jordan and seeing the work done to help the million refugees in camps and cities. The money raised will be used to retrain adults, particularly women.
All are welcome at the exhibition from 10am to 4pm at Butts Studio, 22 Udney Park Rd, Teddington TW119BG, where mince pies and mulled wine will be served.
If you are unable to attend and would like to help Syrian refugees, please visit localgiving.org and RETAS charity Art for Aid fundraising group.
