Bumblebee is a new social enterprise dreamt up in lockdown by Teddington resident Imogen Bond. Combining creative expertise drawn from her previous role as the Orange Tree Theatre’s Education Director with her lifelong love of reading, Imogen has created an exciting new venture.
Subscribe to Bumblebee, and each month you’ll receive an unusual book plus clever creative prompts for things to write, do, make or cook – all inspired by the book. Bumblebee works with small independent publishers to find hidden gems, so you’re unlikely to already have the books on your shelves.
Being creative helps develop empathy and resilience, as well as supporting mindfulness and positive mental health. With Bumblebee you can read more widely, spark your creativity, and be happier!
Every subscription helps support Bumblebee’s free creative workshops for children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are struggling with literacy. Improving children’s access to creative activities is proven to help support their learning across the curriculum, as well as developing empathy, confidence and communication.
Bumblebee subscriptions are available for both children and adults. Christmas gifts can be sent straight to the recipient, beautifully gift-wrapped.
