Business Focus: Flavour of the Month

This month, we speak to Zeynep Aydin of La Pesca Restaurant and Bar, which opened its doors in June 2021 and is fast becoming a local favourite.

How long have you been involved in the catering/hospitality industry?

Our family acquired Your Bakery in Whitton almost three years ago and we quickly fell in love with artisan Italian baking. From that point on, we wanted to share our special pastries with even more people by opening a second branch. We couldn’t have imagined then that we would end up making connections that would lead us to turn our premises on Teddington High Street into a French-inspired restaurant!

What food do you specialise in?

Many people see our name and assume we specialise in seafood; we actually specialise in French-inspired food and chose the name La Pesca for our restaurant because it means ‘the peach’ and our interior design is inspired by a peach colour palette!

What are the most popular dishes on your menu?

Our bestsellers are without doubt our Sea Food Tagliolini, Seared Scallops and Ribeye steak. The tagliolini are made in our bakery every morning – you can be sure that you’ll always enjoy super fresh ingredients with us!

What sort of atmosphere can visitors to your restaurant expect?

As we are quite a small restaurant (only 38 covers), you can expect a very intimate and friendly setting – perfect for a quiet catch-up with friends, afternoon tea or a celebratory birthday meal with the whole family (you may even get a piece of yummy cake from our bakery on the house!).
