Councillor’s Update

A Wet Autumn

After some dry weather earlier in the year rainfall here in October was at least double the recent average for the month. At the time of going to Press November was also pretty wet. See the Met Office anomaly map.

New Conservation Areas

Following the recent designation of 7 new Conservation Areas in TW11 detailed appraisals  and management plans have been written and are out to consultation.

The map shows the new Broad Street Conservation Area with locally listed buildings in dark green followed by a picture one of the most interesting [and one in Church Road].

The Garden Last Month

The tiny flowers of Fuschia microphylla are still blooming in November. It forms a small shrub and comes from the New World.
