Here we are three quarters of the way through the year. Lockdown restrictions have been eased a bit, more for some folk than others. The wildlife youngsters are now teenagers. Cygnets, developing their wings and under the guidance of their parents, will soon be attempting to fly. The Red deer stag are losing the velvet on their antlers in preparation for the rut in late September and October.
It matters not that the world outside the park is still in the grips of the pandemic, the seasonal changes in the flora and fauna seem uninterrupted which is both amazing as well as reassuring.
It is vital that we remain vigilant – there is no room for complacency if we are to curb the spread of the Covid virus – so please be careful out there.
