2020 has been a memorable year for all the wrong reasons and will surely be one few people will forget. This time last year we were not prepared for the arrival of the global pandemic which was to change our lives possibly forever. It is hard sometimes to be upbeat, yet without appearing to be flippant, there have been positive outcomes, and it is those we should grasp and work on. I believe as a nation we have learned to value friendships, to reach out to others, and to look for, and be more appreciative of all the good things around us. Here in TW11 we have wonderful green spaces, such as the parks and riverside where we are able to recharge our spiritual batteries. However, please spare a thought for those who are housebound for whatever reason and unable to do that.
Publishing the TW Magazine must have been hugely challenging this year. I would like to take this opportunity of saying a huge Thank You to Christiane who has worked tirelessly and skilfully throughout this turbulent year to bring us this gem of a magazine every month.
Christmas will be very different this year – let us try to remember its true meaning. It will be a good time to reflect, and to reach out to others, a phone call, a card. We can get through this, especially if we pull together.
I wish you and your families a blessed Christmas, and all the best for 2021.
