Award Winning Time On The River

River Thames Boat Project volunteers Nigel Williams and Linda Varney took part in a special service at Westminster Abbey to receive The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.  They represented all the amazing volunteers who make the charity’s work on the river possible.

With two wheelchair accessible community boats, Thames Venturer and Thames Discoverer, the charity makes the Thames accessible, providing therapeutic cruises for people of all ages with disabilities and older people, as well as environmental education days for primary school children!

Time on the river on the boats is hugely beneficial, improving mental and physical health and well-being.

Activities operate from Teddington and Kingston.
