“Like during the HIV/AIDS epidemic, many people are looking for ways to capture their feelings and thoughts during the time of the Covid19 pandemic. They may want to pay tribute to lost loved ones, to key workers, to neighbours. They may want to express that, for some, this was a moment where they discovered hidden wells of good humour and resilience. By creating a patchwork square, Richmond residents of all ages can express those thoughts and feelings.
The square will be fashioned into a quilted wall hanging representing the lockdown experience of the residents of Richmond upon Thames. The finished quilt will go on display at the Museum of Richmond. Finished squares should be sent to Cllr Nancy Baldwin c/o York House, Twickenham TW1 3AA”
The deadline is 20 June 2020.
