On the Wild Side

TWICKENHAM SNOW

One day in late January the gloom of lockdown lifted and everyone was smiling.

Nature brought a little gift to Twickenham in the form of snow.

Up on the Green children were building snowmen and being towed along on sleds. Adults were throwing snowballs and dogs were rolling ecstatically in the white stuff. The sounds of laughter were infectious.

Sadly, Arthur’s could not open for hot chocolate or pizzas. The last time I saw snow was two years ago as I sat by their window drinking tea.

Mereway Nature Park turned into a winter wonderland and on the playing fields were some very inspiring snowy creations…

This little event had turned us all into happy people again.
