Calling all young musicians and bands! Powerjam, the innovative south-west London-based band project, is offering the chance to win an amazing prize worth £1,000: a professional recording session and release of an original song on Spotify and all streaming platforms. It is hoped the competition will encourage local young musicians and bands to stay creative and motivated during lockdown.
Powerjam is a not-for-profit and Community Heroes Award-winning project that supports budding and serious young musicians. Those who take part are helped to form or join bands, and are provided with the infrastructure to rehearse and gig, as well as write songs, professionally record, market and release their music.
Various teen bands at Powerjam have achieved over 50,000 streams collectively of recently released singles – no mean feat! Many of the young musicians have had their songs played on south-west London’s Riverside Radio, and have participated in a New York Times-endorsed international livestream, raising money for Children in Need. They have also gigged on some of the most reputable stages in the area, including Richmond Riverside Music Festival.
Why not send your songs to: firstname.lastname@example.org and get your song on Spotify!
