This autumn the Teddington Artists group will be holding their Art Fair in the magnificent surroundings of Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham.
Due to Covid restrictions, the group’s annual exhibition at Strawberry Hill was unable to take place last year and so it’s with great enthusiasm that its 12 members, plus nine guests, are presenting their array of diverse talents at Strawberry Hill House this month.
Built by Horace Walpole in 1747, this ‘little Gothic castle’ was already a tourist attraction during his time. The splendid house fell into disrepair, but in August 2002 the Strawberry Hill Trust was formed with a mission to restore Walpole’s Gothic villa. With the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and others, the £10 million repair and ongoing restorations have made it possible to open this unique house to the public.
Teddington Artists and guests are delighted to exhibit their multitude of artistic abilities in the fascinating interior from 29th to 31st October. Expect to see paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery, photography, textile art and objets trouvés.
