Local mum and professional singer Sara Feldmann Brummer is launching a new daytime choir for parents in Twickenham: Pram Chorus. Parents bring their little one along, but the singing is very much for the grown-ups.
Pram Chorus is more than a choir, it’s a community, where everyone is welcomed and supported. The experience of becoming a parent can be a lonely one – thrust into a brave new world of sleepless nights; being at the mercy of a tiny one’s needs – so having a friendly place to go for some “me time” can be a lifesaver.
Anyone who thinks they can’t sing shouldn’t worry. No singing experience or talent is required to join Pram Chorus, and there’s no audition. The idea is to do something fun, creative and sociable that both parents and their little ones can enjoy
and benefit from. It’s also a great way to beat the “Baby Blues” – perhaps even by singing The Blues!
Choir leader Sara lives in Twickenham Green and is mum to Rachel, aged two. Sara has performed at many famous venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to Don’t Tell Mama cabaret bar in New York City. As a choral leader Sara has worked with the Military Wives Choir, The Young Singers and various workplace choirs. Sara loves a good chat and a slice of cake – both will be included at Pram Chorus sessions!
Pram Chorus runs on Wednesday afternoons at Twickenham’s Crossway Centre, starting 18th March.
