Thoughts That Come To Mind is a new book of musings and poems by Annie Moore, a Surrey-based Mindful Yoga and Meditation Coach. A record of her journey of contemplations from the beginning of the pandemic lockdown in March 2020, the collection is a result of thoughts and reflections that have come to mind after regular meditation practice.
Annie blends her visions of nurture and nature with her spiritual journey of wisdom and guidance. Formerly a footwear and accessories designer and independent retailer, her background is a creative one. Her call to healing and wellness came when her daughter was diagnosed with ME at the age of 12. Finding support was challenging and Annie turned to alternative therapies for assistance and cure. The recovery was a success, and it changed her perspective on many things, including the redirection of her career.
Retraining as an aromatherapist opened a whole new door into wellbeing and holistic health. Annie gained many more skills including remedial massage, reiki healing and energy work, which lead to the birth of a health and wellness spa, Vidatherapy, in Teddington.
Many years on, tragedy struck her family. In 2014 Annie lost her son to acute myeloid leukaemia. It was a devasting, dark period of her life that would never be restored. Her son had been a great sportsman, and sadly one of his ambitions to run a marathon was not to be.
But Annie had taken up running and was encouraged by her family to enter the ballot for the London marathon. She entered as a bit of a joke, never dreaming she would be accepted. In 2015 she ran the Virgin London marathon in memory of her son Tom Moore and raised £6,000 for the Blood Cancer UK charity.
After this wonderful achievement she decided there was no limit to what she could achieve and went to Ibiza to train as a yoga teacher; not stopping there, she trained in mindfulness and meditation. Her journey continued with coaching, running workshops and specialising in menopause yoga to support women through their menopause transition and beyond.
Annie says she draws inspiration from the nourishing, rich power of the planet and from the natural surroundings where she lives in both the UK and Portugal. Although in her personal life she has experienced suffering and grief, her strength, resolve and resilience have pulled her out of the darkness and into the light, guided by spiritual support and powerful family love.
In this book, her heart and soul are deeply rooted in guiding readers on a journey of healing and transformation so they can create a more positive life filled with love, happiness and peace.
