SHEPPERTON MATTERS
With its riverside setting and strong village identity, Shepperton has managed to retain much of its traditional character while developing into a thriving and well-connected community. Old Shepperton centres around historic Church Square and St Nicholas Church, with attractive period buildings and the Thames only a short walk away. The river remains an important part of local life, particularly around Shepperton Lock, while the internationally known Shepperton Studios has given the area a long association with British film and television.
Further north, Shepperton High Street has a good mix of independent shops, cafés and local services, with residential streets stretching towards the railway station and direct trains to London Waterloo. Church Road links this busier centre back towards Old Shepperton, where riverside pubs, walks and open spaces give the village a noticeably different pace. It is this mix of everyday convenience, community life and the quieter Thames-side setting that gives Shepperton much of its appeal.
