The Arts in Twickenham

The web pages of the Creative Writing: First Novel MA at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, are continuing to grow with the names of our graduate bestselling novelists namely Lara Dearman, Louise Fein, and Muhammed Khan; the MA also continues to attract many renowned lecturers and celebrated guest speakers such as Nick Harkaway, Sharlene Teo and Christie Watson. Anthony McGowan is the latest author to join the First Novel MA team at St Mary’s. Anthony will be teaching plotting and structure techniques as well as providing individual student supervision; he will continue his work as Royal Literary Fund Fellow here for the academic year 2021, providing expert writing advice to all students and staff.  His latest book – published this week – is I am the Minotaur published by Oxford University Press. Anthony is a multi-award-winning author of books for children, teenagers and adults. He has written both fiction and non-fiction for adults, but is probably best-known for his YA novels, including Lark, which won the 2020 Carnegie Medal. You can find out more about him here:
